Bernadette makes all the bow ties here at www.givethedogabow.com. She started sewing as a teenager and over six decades on, is still creating clothes, tutoring students and of course, making bow ties for dogs. Bernadette has trained in dressmaking, tailoring,  pattern cutting and lectured in fashion and design.

Awarded an MBE for her services to education, Bernadette has old school values when it comes to quality. ‘ Nothing is packaged up and sent until I am happy with every stitch. Patterns need to match, every bow needs to be hand finished as quality is vital.

I think it’s important that when someone buys a bow tie it is the very best.’ she says.
